reception form
When planning your wedding throw away all books the so called experts telling you how to do it right. There is
no right or wrong way for a reception so DO IT YOUR WAY!
I will be very glad to suggest or help with any aspect of planning your wedding that you may need or want from me.
No question is a dumb one, and on email or phone, I am here to help.
Some books will tell you to meet with your DJ several times because the DJ runs the show and makes all the decisions. And there are so called DJs out there who actually want you to believe this.
If the DJ acts like he is the one in charge, this will usually cause friction with the management of the reception location and others involved. Fact is, the DJ is nothing more than a game show host is on TV.
It looks like we are running the events, but we are merely doing the time line as we are told to do it by the coordinator or manager or the photographer working with the bride.
The result is everything goes smoothly, pictures and services or correctly performed, and without too many chiefs causing conflictions.
In short, the DJ/MC should work with the one in charge to make your event a roaring success.
HERE IS A SUGGESTION FORM TO GET YOU STARTED:
Announced as Mr. and Mrs._______________________________________
Then… directly to the floor or mix and mingle? _______________________
1st dance song _________________________by _____________________
Father/daughter _________________________by _____________________
Mother/son _________________________by _______________________
You can print this form here in .pdf format.
Every song on the list you were sent will be at the event. Please make a list of songs that you do not see on our list and email them to me a week before hand. Include a boycott list if there are certain songs you do not want played.
I would like a copy of the time line of events emailed to me that you and your coordinator/manager have scheduled, like when you’ll toast, cut the cakes, bouquet and garter, other dances like dollar dance, dance of ages, etc.
